On Sunday 29th October in glorious sunshine and calm conditions, Team 1 headed to Portarlington and Team 2 to Barwon Valley.

Team 1 winning 3/2.

Ivy started well, driving nicely down the 1st fairway, taking the early lead, she fought hard all day having a seesawing tussle, she squared her match.

Josh played well all day, with several amazing bunker shots and an inspiring comeback to get quite close, he lost 4/2. Lesson learnt today was to never give up as you never know when things can turn!

Max behind all day, hung in there, squaring his match on the 16th with an amazing shot onto the green to within 2ft, he fought hard and squared his match.

Paige giving 9 shots, pushed through a tough game, winning a hole with a birdie, loving pennant and won 4/2.

Aidan giving 11 shots against a good player, had a steady game, highlighted by a 25ft birdie putt from off the green to win when it looked like a lost hole, going on to win 2/1.

Team 2 lost 2/3.

Lucinda gained the team a point with a walkover.

Ryder started off on fire being 2 up after 3, a few wayward tee shots brought his opponent back in, he battled hard, his short game keeping him in it until his opponent chipped in on the 17th. He stayed determined but finished 2 down.

Chelsea chipped in on the 12th and in a gallant effort that truly inspired her caddy Jill, went to the 18th but lost 1 down.

Sam played straight and did not miss a fairway, being consistent and steady all game with a true iron game, won 7/6

Noah giving 11 shots played a tight match against an opponent playing better than his handicap on the day.  At one stage Noah was 4 down but rallied himself back into the match, he lost 2/1.

Thankyou to all caddy’s including Jill and Greg who stepped in to help, as well as those who’ve come along to support!

Next Sunday both teams play at home from 10.30am, wishing both teams good luck and great golf! All welcome!
