Come and have your say on Women’s Business at an open discussion, Tuesday 18th July at 1pm in Claribeaux.

I will be presenting details about the new, proposed club constitution and how the Women in Golf Charter effects this and us.

Incorporated clubs, as we are, must have a governing document called a constitution that sets out the roadmap for how it will operate, its objectives, rules and conditions under which the club operates.  You can find our current Statement of Rules & Purposes on the Members home page under Policies.

Putting aside all of the legal stuff, we’ve signed onto the R&A Women in Golf Charter that provides us with guiding principles to achieve positive change for women and girls in golf.

We have the opportunity under this constitution review to make positive change, to create a stronger focus on gender balance, gain a commitment to support and provide positive change to grow female participation in golf.

The aim of this discussion is to gauge what you would like to see as a modern committee for women.

I hope you’ll make the time to come.
