At a loss for something to do on Melbourne Cup Day? Why not play in the Curlewis Wine Skins Stableford Multiplier. This day has been a fun filled event with four bottles of wine up for grabs, to the team with the highest points on each hole.
Here is where the fun goes up a notch … if two or more teams have the same high score, the bottles are not shared but then JACKPOT to the next hole, making eight bottles of quality wine up for grabs.
Entry for the event is $35 for members and $75 for non members and includes lunch and a drink.
The day will commence with a shot gun start so everyone will be in for lunch together. The presentation of the wines (a lot of fun especially for the winners) is followed by the Melbourne Cup Sweeps.
All you need is one good hole to be in the running for some wine. Vicki Carnie was part of a team which won a table full of wine last year, but unfortunately she will not be playing this year due to a recent hip operation. More chances for the rest of us to collect!
I have not had any luck in the sweeps in the past, so according to the law of averages, this year will hopefully see a better result for me in one of the many sweeps on offer.
