Sunday 22nd October was blowing a gale, rain was coming in from every angle, yet twelve eager Curlewis Juniors played in tough conditions and did our club proud!

Curlewis Team 1 versed 13th Beach (Beach), result: 3/2 Win.

Ivy in her first pennant match teeing off the red, enjoyed the match play format, hitting her balls with power, winning 5/3.

Cooper playing off the white tee’s for the first time, was 5 down at one stage, he dug deep winning a few holes in a row to finish on the 17th, 2/1 down.

Josh also off the whites, had a difficult day, finishing 5/4 down. 

Paige had a close tussle initially, then blasted away winning holes 10, 11 and 12, putting exceptionally well, winning 5/3.

Aidan giving 5 shots, had an amazing even par first 9, hitting in close to the pin often, winning 4/3.

Curlewis Team 2 versed 13th Beach (Creek), result: 3.5/1.5 Loss.

Ryder off the green tees, giving a shot had a close encounter all day, with his short game keeping him in the contest, he chipped in from off the 12th green to win the hole, finishing all square.

Lucinda off the greens in her first pennant match had an enjoyable day, with her match seesawing all day to finish 2 down. 

Will didn’t loose any balls this match, striking the ball well, in a tighter and tougher match than last week, he finished 4/3 down.

Chelsea started nervously, choosing her clubs perfectly whilst caddying for herself, striking the ball consistently well finishing with a win 5/3. 

Sam playing an opponent twice his size, played solidly and held his own in the number 1 position, his opposition a bit lucky at times… Sam went down 2/1.

This Sunday 29th October Team 1 is at Portarlington and Team 2 at Barwon Valley, both teeing off at 9am.
