A quick reminder that the Club Championships are just around the corner for both Men’s and Women’s. Entry forms are currently available in the Pro Shop and numbers are strong.
The qualifying rounds commence from Thursday the 1st of September and the Final is to be held on Sunday the 18th of September.
Qualifying rounds can be completed on Thursday’s, Saturday’s or Sunday’s. Both Qualifying rounds must be completed on the same day over the fortnight. Men nominate their preferred day Thursday (Between 12pm and 1pm), Saturday (Anytime throughout Comp time) or Sunday (Anytime throughout Comp time) whilst Women nominate their day of choice but will be seeded for the qualifying rounds and given seeded Tee Times which are currently Thursday (1st Tee between 8am and 10am), Saturday (8:36am to 8:52am) and Sunday (8:44am & 8:52am).
Competitors are also reminded that pace of play is still important on these stroke rounds, and Provisionals should be played where applicable to remove any need of players needing to go back at any stage. The new Stroke and Distance rule is not to be utilised during Board Events, this must be noted by all participants as it would result in DQ. This is also a good time to remind all members that Immovable Obstructions (ie Stakes around Vegetation allow free relief up to 1 club length no nearer the hole, and the stake should not be removed).
