Cups, Bowls, Plates
Hello again! Mostly, this is a repeat of info I shared last week, as part of Jill Pring’s mail-out. This time though, I’m able to add a little additional information, so it’s not exactly the same as last time.
Now that I’m back from a short stint away, it’s time to get busy with all the events just around the corner – the following options are approaching in January and February. Already I am getting messages from teams who are all geared up for events coming up – Queens Park and Anglesea are prime examples. I don’t have entry forms for all of them yet, but you can start getting your team together ahead of time if you’re interested.
Tuesday, January 28 – Sunday, February 2
Clifton Springs GC kicks things off for 2025 with their Clifton Springs Open Week, offering a number of events across the week- Men’s, Women’s and Mixed. They look forward to welcoming teams of players keen to enjoy what Clifton Springs has in store.
Focussing on the women, there is the
Golden Putter on Wednesday, January 29th,
and the
Clifton Springs Women’s Open & Bowl on Friday, January 31st.
See the link here for info and entry guidelines.
Monday , February 3 – Sunday, February 9
Celebrating 100 years, Anglesea is gearing up for their Anglesea Week of Golf.
On Monday, February 3, the
Women’s Rosalind Quinlan Classic is a popular feature of this event. It allows for a maximum of two entries per club. Check for more details here.
Friday, February 14 – Monday, February 17
Queen’s Park Annual Open Meeting
Four busy days are set up for competition at Queen’s Park. The first day, Friday Feb 14, the Women’s Open & Silver Salver is happening. This one also allows for two teams per club, and our quota is already filled.
Monday, February 17
Barwon Heads-Women’s Bowl
For this one, Barwon Heads is accepting entries from clubs rather than individual teams.
Each club is allowed a quota of 4 teams. So please notify me direct if you wish to enter a team, and I will be able to confirm the teams that will participate, in case more than 4 teams express interest. Please don’t send entries straight to Barwon Heads.
BARWON HEADS – WOMENS’ BOWL (No link. See the PDF at the end of my notes.)
Monday, February 24
Anglesea-the SWGA Women’s 4BBB
This event, a popular day for teams of 4, kicks off the Women’s District Events calendar.
That’s probably enough for now. I’m just waiting on further detail for the Queenscliff Ambrose. Keep it in mind and I’ll update you next time.
Friday , February 21
Queenscliff-Women’s Ambrose
Timesheet will be up and running soon but remember, in the meantime, just text me if you’ve got teams sorted (0402 085 704)
Happy hitting!
