Congratulations to Margie Black and Julie Flintoff who were the winners of the Beatrice Uttley-Moore Foursomes Knockout final today against Karen Egan and Alyson Slimmon.
In beautiful conditions two teams played off in the Beatrice Uttley-Moore Foursomes Knockout final. Margie and Julie needed to give 7 shots to Karen and Alyson. Margie and Julie got off to a good start with a win on the 1st. Both teams played very well with Margie and Julie taking the upper hand on the 6th with a par going 3 up.
After the turn Margie and Julie continued their strong play with wins on the 10th and 12th, Karen and Alyson found it difficult to match the strength and consistency of the other girls. Margie and Julie set up their victory on the 14th hole and Karen and Alyson were unable to get their magic bunker play happening.
It was great to see such good support out there witnessing the playing of this prestigious event. Margie had never been on this trophy before and it was Julie’s first board event success.
