Dear Members,

I want to express my appreciation to everyone who heeded our warning and chose not to play last Saturday, due to the extreme heat.

We genuinely care about everyone’s welfare and were really pleased to see that common sense was the best play on the day.

I personally couldn’t think of anything more distressing for members and staff alike, than being faced with trying to resuscitate someone who has collapsed due to the heat.
