PRELIMINARY NOTICE OF MEETING

Preliminary notice is hereby given that the ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING of Curlewis Golf Club Incorporated will be held at the Curlewis Golf Club lounge, 1345 PORTARLINGTON ROAD, Curlewis on Wednesday 20th November 2019 at 7.30 P.M.

AGENDA

Ordinary Business

To confirm the Minutes of the meetings held on Wednesday 21st November 2018:

a.   Annual General Meeting.

b.   General Meeting – Discussion of matters raised by Members post AGM.

  1. To receive the Annual Report of the Club and the Committee Reports.

  2. To receive, consider, and adopt the audited Financial Statements for the year ended 31st August 2019.

  3. To declare the outcome of the election for members of the Committee to fill the vacancies occurring on the Committee and the Office Bearers elected for the ensuing year in accordance with the Rules.

  4. To transact any special business of which notice has been given in accordance with the Rules.

  5. To deal with any other business raised by Members, of which due notice has been given in accordance with Rule 31.(3) & (4)

Questions on the Financial Statements

In accordance with Rule 31, Members entitled to vote may request further information relating to the audited Financial Statements to be presented to the Annual General Meeting.  Such request shall be in writing only and shall reach the President at least twenty-eight (28) days prior to the Annual General Meeting, where it shall be dealt with. Members should note that questions from the floor pertaining to the Financial Statements shall not be taken.

Members are reminded of the following requirements of Club Rule 36:

36  (1) No business may be conducted at a General Meeting unless a quorum of Members entitled to vote is present;

36  (2) The quorum for a General Meeting is the presence of twenty five (25) Members entitled to vote.

PRELIMINARY NOTICE TO MEMBERS

ELECTION: COMMITTEE OF MANAGEMENT 2020

Members are advised that in accordance with the Club Rules the following TWO (2) Committee positions fall vacant:

  1. Committee member (vacated by Brian Egan)
  2. Committee member (vacated by Ziggy Witcombe)

The following is also brought to Members’ attention:

  1. Committee Nominations Forms are available on the Club website (Member’s section), the Club House foyer and Pro Shop.
  2. Nominations close at 5.00PM sharp on 13th November 2019 and late nominations shall not be accepted.
  3. Completed Nomination Forms must be delivered to the Secretary/Treasurer via email or to the Club office on or before the closing date and time.
