Sunday the 2nd of August was the final of the Women’s Board event between Megan Ball and Lorraine Morris. The format provided the opportunity for all women members to participate in a knockout competition. We were fortunate to be able to complete the event in between lock-downs and golf restrictions.
Congratulations to all those who progressed to the final games.
The restriction of spectators was not too disappointing for the nervous contenders.
In perfect conditions both players played some great shots. The bunkers as always played a friend and foe role, depending whose ball went into the sand, Lorraine battled hard but Megan played a strong game and was successful on the 15th with a good win 4/3. A great game and well done to Megan.
